WTF Facebook?!

I am so frustrated with all the recent facebook changes! Maybe it's my fault for using facebook, but it's where I keep in touch with old friends. It was fine before I don't get why they always try to change it and then they end up making it worst. I don't want to see Every. Single. Thing. my friends do and every comment they post, and every thing they "like" on the side timeline.

And what is this I hear about new profiles coming up? No! Just leave me and my crap alone. I think facebook is trying to stay relevant now that Google+ is open for business. But in my opinion they don't have to feel threatened or at least they didn't, I used to like facebook but now I'm don't know if I'll stick around. I opened a G+ today and it's better, simpler but also none of my friends have it so it's boring. If neither work for me I will just stick to twitter.

.....

I feel like a jackass now. Here I am complaining about facebook changes when many important things are happening in the world. I'm not sure what those things are but I'm positive something more important must be going on. Also, it's damn facebook! God forbid I go interact with people face to face! I already have a twitter, a tumblr, this blog, an account on Yahoo Answers, one on Youtube and now a Google+?! How many more ways to waste my time do I need? Time that I don't have, I must add. I really think it would be better to stay off the internet for a while. Maybe then I will actually get to do all the things I have to do instead of procrastinating as much as I do now.

It's just so darn hard to stay away!

Who needs love anyways?

The reason I wanted to do this post is because lately I feel like I've changed when it comes to relationships. Maybe it's normal, maybe I am just growing up? Some days ago I gave up on guys and the whole idea of love. It wasn't anything dramatic. I didn't burn any pictures or cried or ate excessive amounts of junk food or anything. I just gave up and moved on.. which was weird because I am (used to be?) so guy crazy I figured giving them up would be harder.

I mean it's not that there aren't any good guys out there or anything. I am sure there are PLENTY somewhere out there, too shy to approach the girls they like, or too busy being smart, hardworking and all the other qualities we girls dream of in a guy. But I have this feeling that none of those guys are for me.

I think I have always known. I have always had these feeling, this thought in the back of my mind that I am destined to never be in love. It's kind of sad I guess since I am such a romantic person. I love the whole concept of love. Finding that one person that fills your life with happiness and makes you feel whole when you hadn't even noticed you were in pieces before them. But no matter how big of a romantic I am, I can't seem to be able to fall in love.

I've gone out with guys. I've had crushes and boyfriends, and don't get me wrong, I have loved these guys.. I've just never been IN love with them. Call me crazy, but I feel like there is something I have to do. Like a mission in life type of thing. And I feel like until I do this thing I can't be in love with anyone. The problem is I have no idea what the thing I have to do is. I just have the lingering feeling that I am destined to fulfill a purpose.

I had always ignored this feeling. I tried to force myself to fall in love but it never worked. I mean I am 22 years old, isn't it a little strange I have never, ever been in love? Not once? I think it is. And it's not like there is something wrong with me. I mean, i'm not crazy, mean, a bitch or a psycho. Plus guys have been in love with me,(or at least that's what they told me), so it's not my attitude. It has to be something else. My only idea is that it's my destiny but I don't know for sure.

I know 22 is a little young to be giving up on love, but I also think it's time I embrace it. I think I will be one of those lonely, bitter, old ladies that yell at kids for stepping on her lawn. That lady that all kids fear and don't stop at her house to trick or treat on Halloween. Maybe I'll get tons of cats... I like cats. Yup, it's settled, I'll be the Crazy, Cat Lady on the block. On the bright side, I will save lots on Halloween candy!

Do you think I am destined to be a lonely cat lady? Should I start looking for affordable litter boxes online now? Have you ever felt this way? Am I just PMSing? (that last one could be, after all, I'm just a girl).

Favorite Trends Right now!!

So I will be talking about my favorite trends at this very moment. Keep in mind that these are just things that I like but I am not sure they are IN right now. I don't care as much about things being in or out of fashion. For example if I know leopard print jeans are IN I am not going to go out and buy a pair just because they are IN. Or if I see a pair of leopard print leggings that I love but I know they were IN last season and are not anymore, I will buy them and I will rock them! It's all about confidence and rocking the things that you like and that look flattering regardless of what magazines say.

Let's start with Hair:
The first hair trend that I like is Ombre Hair. I believe this was IN last year, not sure about this year but I plan on getting this look soon. The good thing about Ombre hair is that (and I'm only guessing here since I haven't gotten it yet), you don't have to keep dying your hair as often because the roots are supposed to be darker than the rest! Plus it looks so hot imo.

Here is a picture in case you don't know what I'm talking about

The second hair trend is Fishtail Braids! I love, love, LOVE braids. I think a messy fishtail braid is such a cute way to wear your hair instead of the usual ponytail or bun. Lauren Conrad just added a tutorial on how to do a fishtail braid and it's pretty simple. Here it is.

Finally, the last hair look I love right now is the Lob, also known as the Long Bob. I cut my hair in a Lob last year and I liked it a lot. I think it is flattering on almost, if not all face types and it looks so chic and sophisticated. Here is an example.

How cute does Anne Hathaway look with her Lob?

Moving on to Nails now, the first nail trend I like is the Crackle/Shatter effect. There are many nail polishes out there that do this now from OPI to Chanel to the cheap ones that they sell for $1 at the flea market. OPI are my favorite, not too expensive and good quality. Crackle polish is a fast and easy way to have edgy looking nails without going to the salon or spending hours doing nails designs yourself.

Other nail polishes I like right now are nude, white and orange. Nude nails are one of my favorite looks right now. They go well with everything and when the edges start to chip it's not as noticeable as with harsher colors. White nails look fantastic in my opinion, specially on darker skin tones and shorter nails. Finally, Orange nails are the new red! Although I think it is more of a summer color than fall but they look really cute with tan skin.

Shoes!!
As you might or might not know, I am a shoe-freak! I will talk about the shoes that I am crazy about at the moment other than the usual flats, sandals, sneakers and pumps. First off, Riding Boots! I love how riding boots look with just skinny jeans and a blouse. It's something I would throw on in 5 minutes to go to school and I wouldn't look like a complete slob. Sadly though, I have been looking for a pair that I like and that I can afford... I hadn't been lucky until right now! I found a pair that I really liked and that is crazy cheap while I was taking a little break from this! I'm so happy =D (I found it on urbanog.com in case you're wondering)

They look something like this but a lighter brown and not so good quality
You get what you pay for in shoes!

The next shoes I am crazy about right now are Wedge Booties. I really like how wedge booties look with jeans or a skirt or dress, with socks or thights, basically with anything! I have still to find the perfect pair for me but hopefully I find them soon. For now, here is a picture of a really cute pair i found.

I want these and I don't even like velvet!

Up next is the always classic Oxford. Oxford shoes are a staple in my wardrobe, they have been for a while now. I really like the androgenous look and I also like to dress kind of preppy sometimes and oxfords are perfect for both. It is as easy as wearing flats but they add an extra something to the outfit. Right now I had to throw away my brown pair which was also my favorite pair because they were so worn out. I do still have a black pair but I'm looking for a brown pair to replace my old ones, sadly they don't make the ones I have anymore if not I would have bought them already. But here are some that are cute (but kind of expensive for my broke, college student income).

Steve Madden makes the cutest oxford shoes imo.

The last shoe style I'm crazy about right now is Combat Boots. Just like oxfords, combat boots have been a staple of mine for years. I love to wear them with dresses and skirts, but also with jeans and jean cut-offs. I originally wanted some Dr. Martens but they are all made of leather (or at least all the ones i liked) and I don't wear real leather. Right now I have two pairs, a brown, lace-up pair and a black pair. I'm thinking of getting another pair but I haven't seen any I like yet, by now here is a cute pair.

The one's I have are similar but higher than these.

Now on to clothes.
The first thing I like are long skirts, more specifically long sheer skirts. I think they look so sexy without being too revealing like a mini skirt. They look really cute with wedge heels and can be dressed up or dressed down.
Here's a cute one!

Next up is the Flare Jeans. The 70's fashion is IN in a big way this year but my favorite item out of the whole thing is the flare jeans. They can be very casual but you can also dress them up for a night out with your friends. White flare jeans are just too cute for words, and look amazing for a night out.

Faux Fur is another thing that I can't wait to try this fall. I think it looks very sophisticated and elegant but can also look edgy when styled right. Faux Fur can be controversial, I know some people who are against it even though it's not the real thing but I don't see anything wrong with it, I mean it's not real so I do wear it.

I really want something like this. Over a LBD it would look fabulous!

The last thing (finally!) that I really like for fall are Chunky Sweaters. There is just something about chunky sweaters that makes me happy. Maybe it's because they're comfortable, maybe it's because they make me think of Christmas and rainy days and hot cocoa but chunky sweaters are a must in my wardrobe for fall and winter. Oversized knit sweaters and cardigans are my favorite thing in the world! (maybe not).

I like this!

Phew! that took me a while but hopefully you like this post. Tell me what your favorite trends are or what you are excited to wear once the weather gets colder.

Stay Golden,
xXX

I'm all over the place with this blog...

School already started and I've just been so busy lately that I hadn't had any time to blog. But I've been feeling different lately so I figured I'd make the time and get this off my chest. There are a  few things I want to blog about starting with the news that I dyed my hair last night! Which is probably not a big deal but it was the first time EVER that I dyed it so that was exciting. Well, actually I didn't do it myself, I let my good friend Viry do it for me and I love the way it came out. I chose a "Medium Red Brown" color and now i am thinking of dying the tips lighter to get an ombre effect but for that I will probably go to the salon.

Another thing I will be doing pretty soon, hopefully next week is getting a new tattoo! I had been thinking about this one for a while and I went and talked to the guy that did my first one and he had some pretty cool ideas and he remembered me from last time so that's a plus! It will be in honor of my dad just because I love him so much and I miss him and I think it will look amazing. Once it's done I'll post a picture of it. :)

Last but not least, I wanted to put together a little playlist of some songs that I just can't seem to get out of my head lately. They are all different genres and nothing new but they are songs that I love to listen to and that I've been listening to for the past few days. So if you feel bored and want to check them out please do. They are not in any particular order btw. I hope you enjoy them!

Pumped Up Kicks - Forster the People
Electric Feel - MGMT
Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan
Under the Bridge - RHCP
1901 - Phoenix
You and I - Lady Gaga
Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds
Last Request - Paolo Nutini
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses
Hello - Martin Solveig & Dragonette

Also, I will be doing another blog later about boys and relationships and what I've been thinking about that lately and one about my favorite trends at the moment. Stay Fabulous. XXx.

Celebrity Outfit of the Week.

Finally I'm back! Sorry but I just couldn't find a celebrity outfit that I liked. I had been keeping an eye on celebrity websites but all I kept seeing were skinny jeans and a tank top or jean cut-offs and a tank top. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I myself go to my favorite denim pieces when I get up every morning but it all just looks like the same outfit, just with 2 million different people wearing it. I understand it's hot outside and it's summer but you gotta keep it original!

Anyways finally someone broke the mold. This week's celebrity outfit comes from Selena Gomez.

In a sea of denim cut-offs and t-shirts, Ms. Gomez stands out. Her outfit screams freshness to me and I just love long dresses and skirts. I probably would have worn sandals instead of flats but overall I like her outfit. I am especially in love with her purse! .. speaking of purses, last week while shopping at Marshall's I found the perfect, most beautiful Michael Kors tote bag. It was dark blue which I think would go with anything and big enough for me to take to school instead of a backpack. Then I looked at the price and my heart broke a little lol. It was crazy expensive! .. plus now that I think about it, it was probably real leather too so I'm glad I didn't buy it.

But back to the outfit! A long dress is a great way to stay fresh in the California heat but at the same time look stylish. She probably would have looked better without the t-shirt thingy on top but I'll take it just because I was desperate to find something I liked. The aviator sunglasses finished her look and added that "I'm famous" touch.

So what do you guys rhink of the outfit? Are you like the rest of us that just wears demin shorts practically all summer?

Until Next Time,

XXX.

Mischief Managed.. My childhood is officially over.

I just finished watching the last, EVER harry potter movie. EVER! .. I am very, very sad about it. Does it make me lame and a nerd? Yes, yes it does. But I can't help it, it's how I feel.

I honestly feel .. Well I can't really even explain it. I think the word that comes closer is lost. That's it I feel lost now. For half my life I have been loyally waiting for either the next book or the next film and now I don't know what to wait for anymore.

Harry Potter was more than a bunch of books to me. I feel like Harry was my one, true companion throught my whole awkward pre-teen and teenage years. When I felt more alone I would just open a book and escape to Hogwarts. When I felt that nobody cared about me I would read about Harry and how brave and good he was despite the fact that he had no parents.

You see, Once upon a time, there was a 12 year old girl that had to leave her parents behind. This girl felt so alone in the world that she would lose herself in books just to pretend her life was different, that her life was happy. Then one day she read this story about a boy, a year younger than her that had it all worse than she did. He didn't have his parents with him either you see but unlike the girl he was also mistreated by his aunt and uncle. Then one day everything just changed for him when he was told he was a wizard. The girl was fascinated with the boy's story because she could relate to him so much. Like she had never been able to relate to anyone or anything else before. I was that one lonely, awkward 12 year old girl, and this is how my love for Harry Potter began. Since that day I haven't been able to stop reading about or watching Harry grow up. In a way I feel like we grew up together, him and I.

So now I thank you J.K. Rowling for giving me this magical world where I could escape to, no, where I DID escape to for the last 10 years of my life. And I thank each and everyone of the actors that did a remarcable job at portraying my favorite characters. I am sure I will revisit howgwarts many times again for years to come. But for now all I can say is .. Mischief Managed!

You know.. I think Bill Maher's got a point...

I'm just laying here in bed with the worst flu symptoms I've felt in a while thanks to the fact that my immune system is as weak as they come *sigh* .. so I've been watching youtube videos all day. Right now it's a Bill Maher documentary called Religulous. I've seen it before but I just wanted a good laugh so I'm re-watching it. If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend it. It is a documentary on religions and the crazy things that people believe.

I love the way he questions people until they don't know what else to say! Plus I'm pretty sure that guy claimming he was "cured" from being gay was flirting with Bill at the end of their interview lol.. This is by far one of my favorite documentaries. I think Bill does a great job at raising all this questions about different religions, he is not just focused on one, or bashing all religions for believing crazy things.

This is as far as my mind will go today so I'm off to get a little rest now, hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. Btw I know I haven't done the celebrity outfit this week but I haven't seen any good outfits so far. Will keep looking tomorrow.

XXx.

This makes NO sense!!

Have you guys been following the Casey Anthony case? Ugh I just cannot believe she was not found guilty. I mean she practically lied throughout the whole trial and nobody could explain the smell in her car nor the body found near her house. It just doesn't make any sense to me! She has guilty written all over her ugly forehead (Sorry I'm mad) .

Although, if I had to blame someone for the lack of justice it would be the prosecution. They did a wonderful job at proving Casey was a horrible human being yet they did a crappy job at providing the evidence needed to prove she committed the crime. They focused on the wrong thing and thus the case was lost. I think if they had looked, really looked they would have found tons of evidence at least of child neglect and then the defense would have no way of winning because it is obvious to me she is guilty.

It kinda makes me wonder what the world is comming to... ^~^

Did you guys follow the case? Or did you at least know what the case is about? Do you think she is innocent?

Hotness Galore

As you may or may not know I have a little crush on Ryan Reynolds. Not only is he sexy and funny, but he is also tall! He is 6'2 which I love because if hell froze over and we dated I would be able to wear heels all the time and not feel guilty about it.. :) Also, he looks great in a suit... (aahh Ryan... *drools ). But no, this post is not just me talking about how Hot Ryan Reynolds is, I think we all need a little eye candy. I sure as heck do. Especially today because I've had a long day.

Other than Ryan Reynolds, other celebrity crushes of mine include Adam Levine, Adrien Brody (i get teased about this one -_-) and an up and coming Spanish model River Viiperi... I don't know what it is about Adrien but he just has something that I find attractive. Could it be the nose?

I will also include a clip from an old interview with young Axl Rose. He was the hottest thing alive back then, and I watch that interview over and over again. His voice, his eyes, I love everything about him in this video! <3.

But enough about me and my crushes because I could stay up all night daydreaming about this guys haha.. So what are your celebrity crushes? or Who do you daydream about?

Celebrity Outfit of the Week: Kate Moss

Courtesy of peoplestylewatch.com

This week my favorite celebrity outfit comes from the beautiful, super stylish model Miss Kate Moss! I love everything about this outfit! It is simple, looks comfortable, yet it looks pretty and polished at the same time. I am just dying to have those pants. I think I could wear them in many different ways, dress them up or dress them down.

Most of the outfit is made up of pretty basic things that I think most of us already have in our closet. A white t-shirt, black flats, a blazer, and for accessories a black bag and sunglasses. So what do you guys think of the outfit? Is it as cute as I think it is or do I think that it is cute just because Kate Moss is wearing it and she can make anything look stylish? lol.

Until next time,
Xoxo.

Music is my boyfriend!

GAHH! Sorry I've been gone for many days x] .. I've been enjoying the first official days of Summer.
Plus I've just had so much to do so it wasn't just about Fun, Fun, Fun! like a certain 13-year old girl sings. (BTW yesterday was her birthday.. did you remember to wish her well?)
I have been all about music for the last few days. Listening to my rock idols Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and CCR before work everyday, which just puts me on a good mood and I think that is essential if you work in retail. I need my music fix or I can't be nice to the demanding costumers! Also, I went to my first Zumba class yesterday hehe .. I gotta say I enjoyed it but I was ready to die by the end of the hour, plus the music was a little weird for my taste. If you don't know what Zumba is google it you lazies! .. lol Jk.. it's like aerobics but with music, it's harder than it looks but really, really fun.

Anyways, I thought I would share with you guys a song I can't seem to be able to get out of my head. It's Top of the World by The Cataracs, you've probably heard it before. I just can't get enough of it! I love Cyranizzy and Campa, ..Actually I say I love a lot of guys, (I should stop that!).. I love the video, it makes me wish I got pulled over but sadly the cops in my town don't look half as cute as these two.. lmao. Plus, this song introduced me to the best pick-up line I have ever heard, "Your daddy must have been a drug dealer. -Why? - Cuz you're dope" :D .. I am so using that as soon as I get a chance!

So check out the song and I hope you guys enjoy it.. and I promise not to be long for so long again. (well I'll try).

Whatever Goes Through a Girl's Mind at 4 in the Morning?

It is now 4:16 am and i just got home. I am debating on whether i should go to bed or just stay awake..  ahh screw it! I'll pull an all nighter x]
Anyways, I ended up not watching Super 8, Bridesmaids seemed like a better idea since I was in the mood for a good laugh. And what laughs that movie was!
At first I was hesitant to watch it because people were saying it was like the female version of The Hangover which to me sounded like they it would be the same movie just with women and The Hangover is one of my favorite movies. I didn't want to be dissapointed, plus I think most women who think they are funny just come off as bitchy, which the feminist in me hates to admit but that's my opinion at least.
I'm glad I watched it though, it was hilarious. If you haven't seen it yet please do yourself a favor and just go already!! .. I loved the cop, he was so sweet =) .. AND the movie got me out of the dark mood i had been in for the last few days. It kind of reminded me that things happen for a reason.

In a whole different topic, the last Harry Potter movie is only 29 days away! (I'm sad, I'm excited, I don't know what the heck I'm feeling! lol) .. Gotta go buy my tickets soon and hopefully I can fix my tattoo too before the movie comes out.. not sure why but I feel like it has to be done and perfect by that time.. And if you are wondering yes I have a Harry Potter tattoo but it means so much more to me than that, it is a more of a tribute to my childhood type of thing. The thing is when I got it I went for something very simple just because I know I hate needles and if it hurt I wouldn't be able to finish it. I didn't want to be running around with just half a tattoo lol.. so now that I know I can endure the pain I plan to go in and work on it some more ,make it more detailed. We'll see how that goes, but for now I think I'll hit the gym since I have nothing better to do.

Sweet Dreams to those of you that actually sleep at night.

Favorite Celebrity Outfit This Week

Courtesy of peoplestylewatch.com.

I just adore Elle Fanning! She is beautiful AND she has great style that even I can relate to even though I am much older than her. I like looking at celebrities outfits for inspiration so every week i will post my favorite outfit (or try to.. it depends on whether i have time to blog) .

So, the reason I picked this outfit is because the beaches where I live are usually kind of cold even though it is California. So if I were to just wear a bathing suit (which many girls do!) I would freeze to death, (not really but you know what I mean). Elle's dress and jacket combo is cute and it just works for the beach, plus the hat adds interest and pulls the whole outfit together.

Btw, have any of you guys seen Super 8? I hear it's a good movie, I might catch it later with my best friend but we'll see.

Gotta go get ready,
Peace.
